Cosmetic Surgery Recovery Nurses in Oakville and the GTA

Most recovery happens after you leave the clinic. This is the part that is usually left to you, and it is the part we cover.

What Recovery Care Covers

Care is planned around your procedure and follows your surgeon’s instructions.

  • Drain monitoring and output recording, kept to the schedule your surgeon set
  • Compression garments, fitting, wear time and the practical problems nobody warns you about
  • Incision and dressing care, kept clean and checked as it heals
  • Positioning support, which matters most after a Brazilian butt lift
  • Swelling and mobility, help moving safely in the first days
  • Medication schedules, followed exactly as your surgeon prescribed
  • Monitoring, so anything that should reach your surgical team reaches it early
  • Practical help at home, because the first week is rarely about the surgery alone

Anything that requires a physician order is carried out only on your surgeon’s instruction and within your care plan. Where something sits outside that plan, we will say so and direct it back to your surgical team.

Procedures We Support

Recovery demands differ enormously between procedures. These are the ones where help makes the most difference.

  • Mommy makeover, often the most demanding recovery of all
  • Tummy tuck, drains, binders and restricted movement
  • Brazilian butt lift, strict positioning for weeks
  • Liposuction, compression and swelling management
  • Breast reduction, drains and limited arm movement
  • Breast augmentation and breast lift
  • Arm lift, where both arms are restricted at once
  • Thigh lift and lower body lift
  • Facelift and neck lift, where discretion matters as much as care
  • Gynecomastia surgery

If your procedure is not listed, it does not mean we cannot help. Tell us what you are having done and we will tell you honestly whether recovery care is worth arranging.

Coming Home From Surgery Abroad

If you travelled for your procedure, the recovery still happens here.

Many patients travel outside Canada for cosmetic surgery, and most of the healing happens after they fly home. Drains often stay in for the first week or two, which regularly falls after the flight back. Overseas clinics generally offer follow up by video call, which is useful for reassurance and cannot change a dressing or check a wound in person.

We provide the in-person care for that gap. You do not need to have been our patient, and you do not need to have had surgery in Canada. Bring your discharge notes and your surgeon’s instructions, and we will work to them.

How It Works

  1. Talk to us before your surgery dateTell us the procedure, the date and where it is being done. Arranging care in advance is far easier than arranging it the day you get home.
  2. We build the plan around your surgeon’s instructionsYour discharge notes set the clinical direction. The plan covers what is needed, how often, and for how long.
  3. Care begins when you get homeFrom the first day, when most people need it most.
  4. We step back as you recoverSupport reduces as you regain independence, rather than running to a fixed package.

Discretion Comes as Standard

Cosmetic surgery is private. Care happens in your home, on your schedule, and what you have had done is nobody else’s business. Treatment is delivered under the medical direction of Dr. Andrea Garcia, MD CCFP.

Recovery Care Pricing in Oakville

Confirmed at consultation

Recovery care is not a single product. What it costs depends on your procedure, how much support you need and over how many days. We will set that out clearly before anything is booked, so there are no surprises while you are recovering.

Frequently Asked Questions About Cosmetic Surgery Recovery Care

The questions we are asked most before surgery.

If your question is not here, ask us. The clearest answers come from a conversation about your specific procedure and your surgeon’s instructions.

Do you only care for cosmetic surgery patients?
Yes. This service is built only for recovery after cosmetic and plastic surgery. General medical and post-hospital home care is well served by larger nursing agencies across the GTA. We focus on cosmetic recovery so that the care, the timing and the guidance are matched to these procedures specifically.
Do I need to have had my surgery in Oakville?
No. We care for patients who had surgery anywhere, including in Toronto, Mississauga, elsewhere in Ontario, and outside Canada. If you travelled abroad for your procedure, recovery care at home is often the part that was never arranged, and it is the part that matters most once you land.
What does the care actually involve?
It depends on your procedure and on what your surgeon has instructed. It commonly includes drain monitoring and output recording, help with compression garments, incision and dressing care, positioning guidance, help with mobility in the first days, and watching for anything that should be reported to your surgeon.
When should I arrange recovery care?
Before your surgery date if possible. The first few days are usually the most demanding, and arranging care in advance means someone is ready from the moment you get home rather than being organised while you are already uncomfortable.
Can you remove my drains or change my prescriptions?
Anything your surgeon has ordered is followed exactly as written. Procedures that require a physician order are carried out only on your surgeon’s instruction and within your care plan. We will always tell you what sits inside that plan and what needs to go back to your surgical team.
How much does recovery care cost?
Care is planned around your procedure, how much support you need and for how long, so pricing is confirmed at your consultation rather than quoted as a single figure. We will set that out clearly before anything is booked.

Arrange Your Recovery Care

Tell us your procedure and your surgery date, and we will tell you honestly what support is worth arranging. The earlier that conversation happens, the easier your first week will be.
